The person who has in culcated the principle of ‘Service with a smile’ is none other than Smt. Meenaben Maheshbhai Masrani A pleasing personality; person with ethical heritage. Born in good cultural environment at the home of Late Manilalbhai Kapadia- Meetaben’s father; influenced by Uncle (Fua) Late Harilal Bhagwanji Dresswalla- Past President of Shree Lohana Mahaparishad; and impressed by the achievements of Late Devkaranji Tanna and Maganlal Magdani.

She married to Sri Maheshbhai Masrani on 05.12.1970. A big Masrani family and an enviable network of family business. Father-in-law Late Manilalbhai Masrani could realised the enthusiastic positivity of Meenaben for Social service and upliftment immediately after marriage and therefore inspired her for her objectives and thus she started taking active interest in Raghuvanshi (Ghoghari) Lohana Mahila Samaj of Andheri, Mumbai.

01. 8(eight) years starting from 1996 – continued as the President of Mahila Samaj;
02. 4(four) years from 2000 – remained a the Managing Trustee.

During the above duration, she planned out various schemes such as ‘Education scheme’ ; providing food grains to the needy families of the community; solved many problems relating to Raghuvanshi mahilas (Ladies), etc

She deeply studied the problems faced by the families in the marriage of older sons/daughters and started organising Marriage seminars for resolving their problems and difficulties. During her period, she successfully conducted 6(six) such Marriage seminars. Being briefed about her activities, Sri Ravindrabhai Vaghani – the then President invited her to organise one such Marriage seminar under the sponsorship of this Federal body. Smt Meenaben conducted with great success and fanfare one such Seminar at Sanpada, Mumbai wherein nearly 600 candidates participated.

One cannot forget the contribution of Smt Meenaben and members of Masrani family for the purpose of creating the Corpus of ‘Shree Raghukul Shikshan Nidhi’ sponsored/formed/initiated/established by Shree Lohana Mahaparishad and for collecting necessary monetary help/contributions/donations for the construction of Mahaparishad Bhavan through a Musical extravaganza.

In 2005, she was appointed as first Lady Regional Vice-President –Mumbai & Maharastra region by the then President Sri Jayantilal Kundalia. Under his guidelines and in compliance with the principles of Mahaparishad, her performance was remarkable. In a short period, in July 2005, Mumbai and surrounding areas suffered heavily due to incessant rains. She with her team reached with relief materials to the help of affected families in Dombivali, Kalyan, Navi Mumbai, Badlapur, Ambernath, Ulhasnagar and Bhiwandi.

By keeping the founding principles ‘ Seva-sannistha-Sangathan’ in mind, she travelled extensively to various cities and towns in Maharastra such as Sangli, Kolhapur, Pune, Nasik, Vasai, Virar, Dahanu, Anandi, etc to interact with Raghuvanshi community through their Mahajans, Seva Mandals, Stree Mandals, etc. during one such visit , Raghuvanshi Lohana Samaj established “ Mahila Mandal” at Kolhapur.

Being convinced of her efficiency, abilities, diligence, the then President Sri Jayantilal Kundalia –

On 16.11.2006 – in the working committee meeting at Champaran, appointed her as the Trustee of Lohana Kanya Shala Run by Shree Lohana Education Trust;

On 06.04.2008 - in the working committee meeting at Haridwar, appointed her as Trustee – Shree Lohana Mahaparishad;

On 18.04.2010 – in working committee meeting of Mahaparishad at Nathdwara, Udaipur, Rajasthan, she was coroneted with a very special award “ Raghuvanshi Nari Ratna” by the President Sri Jayantilal Kundalia. There only she was appointed as the Trustee of ‘ Gruh & Mahila Udyoggruh Trust, Mulund’ of Shree Lohana Mahaparishad.

She is leading her life with only principle ‘ Service with smile’ and for this she is whole heartedly being inspired & supported by her husband Sri Maheshbhai and every Masrani in the family.
